Location and Arrival

Our 4 star superior hotel is located in the western part of the city, in a quiet, park-like facility. Here, you can sleep with an open window, and still enjoy peace and quiet. Eventually, you will be softly woken up by the rustling of the leaves of the linden tree, or the bird chirps in the morning. The historical old town with its castle Friedenstein is only a 20 minute walk away. The popular ‘Waldbahn’ will transport you into the city center within just a few minutes.

Arrival by car

A4 from Frankfurt:

Exit Gotha-Boxberg, left toward Gotha, about 10km straight until the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 2^nd exit toward Gotha. Here you will go straight, unto the 2^nd traffic light, where you will make a left and get into the left lane. After 400m, go right toward Hotel/Police into the Schöne Aussicht. The hotel can be found after 200m on the left side.

A4 from Dresden:

Exit Gotha, toward Gotha straight ahead toward the first traffic light crossing (McDonalds), left toward Gotha Süd, then straight toward the first roundabout, where you will take the second exit. Then go straight until the second roundabout, where you will take the first exit. At the next traffic light, go straight until the 2^nd traffic light, where you make a right, then get into the left lane. After 400m, right at Hotel/Police into the Schöne Aussicht. The hotel can be found after 200m on the left side.

Arrival with public transport

From central station:

• Tram, Line 1 toward Kreiskrankenhaus, tram stop ‘Schöne Aussicht’
• Thüringer Waldbahn, Line 4 toward Tabarz, tram stop ‘Schöne Aussicht’
