Christmas fair on castle “Friedenstein” (from 29th of November 22th of December 2020). Magical festive atmosphere in the largest early baroque palace in Germany.

The Christmas market will take place on the Gotha Castle grounds. In the four-sided fringed courtyard of Schloss Friedenstein artists, dealers, artisans as well as winegrowers and bakers present themselves. In the early baroque Schloßensemle, Gotha’s residents meet with market visitors from all over Germany. Together they experience Christmas anticipation, as it could have been centuries ago and how it still enchants young and old today. More than 50 craft and dealer stands are available on an area of ​​1338 square meters. Historic carousels, an event stage, an ice skating rink and many other culinary delights are further attractions. And of course a magnificent Christmas tree should not be missing.
